On Wednesday Andy & Randy were joined by Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Arthur Smith the day before the Falcons take on the Carolina Panthers for the second time in an 11 day span, with this one being on the road. The Falcons won a wild game against the Panthers in Atlanta on October 30th 34-31 in overtime that had a little bit of everything.

Since winning that Panthers game the Falcons lost 20-17 to the Chargers and look to get back on track with another win against their NFC South rival.

As the conversation with Andy & Randy went along, Andy asked Coach Smith the following question: “When you look at who your team is right now, you are 9 games in, that’s not a nothing sample size, that’s more than half the season, you got a pretty good idea of who your guys are. What are your most confident in, in this football team today?”

“Well the resiliency, the way guys prepare and the way they work, the habits. It’s easy to get geeked up for Week 1 or 2 and everybody’s got a lot of hope and everything but all of a sudden when you get into the dog days of the season you know you lose a tough game on the road or you come back, it’s the habits that this group of players have. It’s been like that since the spring. That’s why it’s such a fun group to coach, the resiliency of this team,” Coach Smith replied to Andy.

The Falcons will look to get back to .500 with a win against the Panthers tomorrow. You can hear that Falcons game and every Falcons game on 92.9 The Game as well as Andy-Randy Monday-Friday from 11a-2p.
