The Falcons still need to make some financial decisions to clear cap room for the incoming rookie class that will be drafted starting on April 29th. Dukes & Bell talked about some of the options the team will be sorting thru to make some room, including the possibility moving a veteran player after June 1st?
Dukes went thru the options for the team.
“I’m gonna say this and guys are going to be like “NO” if you cut or trade Julio Jones after June 1st that’s $15 million dollars for the Falcons, freed up.” Dukes said “Are you doing it?
“I’m just throwing this out there as an option, these are the things that are being considered behind closed doors, now I don’t know if that’s going to happen with Julio, but you’re going what are my options? That’s one of them, Grady, that’s one of my options, what are my other options, that’s what you have to do. So I’m not saying it’s happening but it is something the Falcons are going to have to decide is what they want to do.”
