With Heinicke’s experience and having seen just about every defense that exists in the NFL he is in the best position to handle a Minnesota Vikings defense that will be throwing exotic looks at the Falcons offense all game long.
Arthur Smith put an emphasis on Taylor only being the starter for this week, but if the Falcons’ offense starts to flourish and move the way it did in the second half last week against the Tennessee Titans when Heinicke was at the helm, Taylor could find himself as the Falcons starting quarterback for the rest of the season.
