The Atlanta Falcons have needed a pass-rusher for the past few seasons.
It's not like Falcons have ignored the position, they just haven't hit on a good pass-rusher after failed first-round picks Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley fizzled out under former head coach Dan Quinn.
In fact, the last time the Falcons actually drafted a competent pass-rusher was in 2005 with second-round pick Jonathan Babineaux. The last time the Falcons hit on first-round pass-rusher was in 1999 with Patrick Kerney.
So, it's safe to say the Falcons haven't had a good track record with drafting pass-rushers in at least the past 20 something years. That has to change with Terry Fontenot at the helm.
While this draft class isn't full of really good pass-rushers, the Falcons need to hit on at least one. Could that be Miami's Jaelan Phillips? Trevor Sikkema from the Draft Network lists Phillips as his best pass-rusher in the draft.
Sikkema joined Chris and Harry and talked about the Falcons trading down and where the pass-rushers will start to go off the board.
