The Atlanta Falcons' offense enters the 2025 season with their fifth starting quarterback in as many seasons and for the first time since the 2022 season, will have a new center as well, as Ryan Neuzil takes over with Michael Penix Jr. as the team's new signal caller.
And while there is some newness to the Falcons' offense, there is more than enough familiarity, especially where it matters the most in order for the "explosive" expectations of the Falcons offense to come to fruition and on Monday, the team secured an important part of their offensive line as they announced the signing of right tackle, Kaleb McGary, to a two-year, $30 million contract extension.
"They feel he can do the job," 92-9 The Game's Mike Bell said as he and cohost, Carl Dukes shared thoughts on McGary's extension and why they believe the Falcons are confident he will do well in handling protecting Penix Jr.'s blindside in pass protection.
"This guy is prototypical. He's a beast when you see him in practice. He's got that dog in him," Bell continued. McGary, drafted by the Falcons in 2019, has been a starter up front since his rookie season and was in the final year of a three year contract, which he signed in 2023 and is now secured through the 2027 season.
