Coming just hours before the NFL releases the league schedule tonight, WSB-TV Sports Director Zach Klein reported this morning that the Falcons are expected to play at least four primetime games. Those will include hosting Monday Night Football at Mercedes-Benz Stadium twice, and two more road games on Sunday Night Football.
The primetime games comes in addition to news that broke Tuesday that the Falcons will play the franchise’s first ever game in Germany, where the team will meet the Indianapollis Colts in Berlin on November 9.
In addition to what Klein reported Wednesday, there are additional rumors that the Falcons could also play a divisional Thursday night game. That means, including the game in Germany, the Falcons could be on national television as many as six times this upcoming season. It's a stark turn from years like 2022 and 2023, when the team was on national TV a minimal amount and otherwise played exclusively at 1 p.m. on Sundays.
