Troy Andersen had a career day in the Falcons 26-24 victory over their division rivals New Orleans Saints before exiting the game with an apparent knee injury. On Monday, Head Coach Raheem Morris said Andersen will be day-to-day and is "hurting pretty good."
Morris did not disclose the extent or nature of the injury during his press conference. Andersen recorded 17 tackles in the contest and was able to score a touchdown off a deflected pass by Saints quarterback Derek Carr. The injury, however, represents the latest potential setback in his career after missing most of the 2023 season.
The team Monday also announced they signed LB Rashaan Evans to their practice squad. Evans spent 2022 in Atlanta where he recorded a career-high 159 combined tackles.
