The Atlanta Falcons added injury to insult in their 22-17 loss to the two-time defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Offensive lineman Kaleb McGary and Drew Dalman both left the contest and did not return.
NFL Network's Ian Rappaport reported Monday morning that McGary suffered a sprained MCL and Dalman has a high ankle sprain. McGary is currently listed as day-to-day after further imaging,. Their losses were felt greatly as the Falcons' run game came to a halt after they went out.
Storm Norton replaced McGary at right tackle and Ryan Neuzil took over at center for Dalman. Both are capable backups, but backups nonetheless. Kansas City was able to time up plays and seemingly meet running backs in the backfield during the fourth quarter, something the team must correct as they welcome in the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at 1PM.
