The Atlanta Falcons have a very tough task ahead of them as they take on the surging Minnesota Vikings on the road Sunday. That task has been made even harder due to the fact that Kirk Cousins has lost his way over the past few weeks and is struggling mightily. In order for him to find his groove again his offensive line must be able to handle a blitz-heavy defense from Brian Flores.

Cousins has not displayed the ability to escape the pocket for his entire career but that has been magnified in 2024 as he continues to move past his season-ending Achillies injury suffered last season. The line must be sound around him now as he needs to be able to move around the pocket and step up into his throws. A lack of velocity and timing has been noticed the last several weeks.

Cousins will need to rely on his veteran savvy and the playmakers around him to return to form. The QB has already thrown a four-touchdown game as well as a 500-yard game in 2024.
