The Atlanta Falcons are back on track after taking down the Jets 13-8 on Sunday. They are on a two-game winning streak and hope to continue the momentum with Tampa Bay coming to town this weekend. A revitalized Baker Mayfield and the always dangerous Mike Evans will present a decent test for the team. The Falcons did best the Bucs in Tampa earlier this season with a final score of 16-13 in Week 5.
The Falcons’ remaining schedule provides a unique opportunity for them. In the five remaining games, the team should be favored in at least four of them. Games against Tampa, Carolina, Chicago and New Orleans should be tilted in Atlanta’s favor, especially after they beat each team in their division the first time around. The only game that the Falcons may not be favored in is their contest with the 7-5 Colts who currently hold a four-game winning streak without starting QB Anthony Richardson.
If the team can make the most of their remaining schedule they should be in prime position for a playoff spot by winning the NFC South.
Unfortunately, during their three-game losing streak to the lowly Vikings, Titans and Cardinals the team drained a lot of the confidence from the fanbase. We now wait to see which version of the Falcons will show up and finish out a very winnable schedule.
