Aaron Rodgers appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and continued to stall on any decision pertaining to his next destination. Could his continued indecisiveness spur a deal between the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers for Kirk Cousins?

NFL insider Ian Valentino joined Chris Thomas after Rodgers made his guest appearance to discuss how this move could impact any future discussions between the two franchises.

"That almost to be [the play]," Valentino said about the chance the Steelers could pursue Kirk Cousins. "I can't imagine they go into Week One with Mason Rudolph as their starter again."

Pittsburgh has had a revolving door at its quarterback position going back to Ben Roethlisberger retirement in 2022. Instead of going in on any single quarterback, they have instead opted to utilize players with a perceived backup quality.

"[Pittsburgh's] got the cap to do it, and actually I think they make more sense than Cleveland ever did, they make more sense than New York ever did," Valentino continued. "Just because it's a better team, and Kirk Cousins needs a good team around him. He's going to benefit from a staff that's not trying to coach for their jobs."

Assuming the Steelers opt to still pursue a veteran quarterback instead of looking to the upcoming NFL Draft for the future of their franchise, the chance of a deal is not completely out of the equation.
