Obviously, Ridder would be called upon in a situation that Taylor Heinicke gets injured, but if Heinicke remains healthy for these last three games, will we see Ridder at all then, and is there a chance that the Falcons bring back Desmond Ridder next season in a backup role?
Depending on how the final 3 games of the season play out, there's a solid chance that the Falcons are looking for a new head coach and it would ultimately be up to a new coach if he wants to bring back either Heinicke or Ridder as a backup, or bring about a whole new QB room.
