Atlanta Falcons linebacker Foye Oluokun joined Dukes & Bell to talk some football with the guys. Oluokon talked about what’s different under the Arthur Smith regime compared to the previous coaching staff.
Foye talked about what he likes about playing under Arthur Smith.
“I like the personality he brings to the team, the team kind of takes the personality of your coach, you can tell he’s a gritty guy. He’s always pushing for the best out of us, always trying to pull the best out of us, keeping everybody accountable,” Oluokun said. “No matter how good of a game you played if you did something wrong you’re gonna hear about it, he’s gonna let you know about it. Sometimes in front of the whole team, so you gotta have some humility, no entitlement on the team. I think it’s a good thing for us moving forward, everybody kinda having that desire to get better no matter what they do out there.”

When asked if it’s different than the previous regime.
“They’re just a little different about it, they both kinda went about it differently, Coach Smith is definitely more blunt than the other guys, they were trying to find what motivates you to get better. Coach Smith is going to put it on you however he wants you to hear it, I feel like you got to have thicker skin under Coach Smith but I think it’s a good thing for guys who have been told they’re good their whole lives, you know who are the best of the best to really understand there’s another place for us to go.”
