The Atlanta Falcons are off to a 3-3 start to the season after beating the San Francisco 49ers 28-14 yesterday. The Falcons won the turnover battle 3-0 and controlled the game on the ground. The Falcons now have wins over the 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks and the Cleveland Browns and have lost to the New Orleans Saints, the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Most, not all, media outlets and fans had low expectations for the Falcons heading into this season after going 7-10 last season and facing a seemingly tougher schedule this year.
So that lead to the question on Andy & Randy, have your expectations changed for the Falcons after their 3-3 start? “My expectations are different now than they were at the beginning of the season,” Andy replied.
“This team is not what I thought they were because I didn’t see this coming…because nothing about last year told you that,” said Randy.
“Kaleb McGary going forward is as good as anybody in the league,” Randy added when talking about the Falcons offensive line and rushing attack.
“And he (McGary) and Lindstrom (Chris Lindstrom) yesterday rag-dolled some dudes. Chris Lindstrom hit a guy so hard yesterday that I am surprised they didn’t throw a flag on him for being a bully,” Andy added.
Andy & Randy went on to talk about how they are tied atop the NFC South with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and how their upcoming game in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals is very winnable.
You can hear Andy & Randy Monday-Friday from 11a-2p on 92.9 The Game.
