On Tuesday, the Atlanta Falcons introduced their new general manager, Ian Cunningham, completing the assembly of their new front office as he joins Matt Ryan, who was hired as the new president of football in January. “Now Ian Cunningham is tasked with the improvement,” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes said as he shared thoughts on why he believes the Falcons new GM must make his mark on the franchise immediately despite the team being without a first-round pick.
“I’m not giving any passes, and there’s no addition pressure for Ian [Cunningham], I think he’s going to do a fine job, but this idea, like because we don’t have a first round, we can just kind of take a break and I’m not going to grade him, this is where his experience Mike with the Eagles and the Ravens comes into play,” Dukes said as he explained why he believes Cunningham should be able to improve the Falcons through later rounds of the draft.
“Two, three, four, you can get players in those rounds that impact your football team immediately, Dukes said.
