The Atlanta Falcons have new leadership with Head Coach Raheem Morris and along with GM Terry Fontenot, they are in search of a franchise quarterback to take in to the 2024 season and feel good about and they have a few different paths to find that guy.
There is no denying the athletic talents that Justin Fields has, he was the first QB in the modern era to rush for a TD in 6 straight games, but he's also accounted for 41 turnovers in his career (30 INT's and 11 lost fumbles) and only 54 touchdowns in that span, not a ratio that inspires confidence.
There's going to be a certain level of risk associated with whichever QB the Falcons bring aboard, but there may not be a bigger disparity between the risk and the reward for any choice than there would be for Justin Fields, and for GM Terry Fontenot, who is entering his 4th season with the Falcons, it feels like the QB decision he makes needs to be the right one.
