Earlier today The Morning Shift talked about what the upcoming season stats should look like for some Atlanta Falcons offensive players, and when they started talking about Falcons wide receiver Jahan Dotson they explained why they think Dotson could unlock the Falcons offense with a big season.
“This guy could really be a lynchpin of unlocking this offense and if he gets to the 40 catch mark again, 50 catch mark, now all of sudden we’re talking about an offense that can function with a little bit of depth at wide receiver.” Mike Johnson said
The Falcons do have some very good weapons when you think about Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, that will undoubtedly get their fair share of carries, touches, targets, receptions, and touchdowns, so it’ll be interesting to see between Dotson, Olamide Zaccheaus, and rookie wide receiver Zachariah Branch who will emerge as that next big go to weapon for Michael Penix Jr. and/or Tua Tagovailoa, but if any of them or all of those receivers can make an impact this year it will definitely take Atlanta’s offense to the next level.
