Atlanta Falcons’ offensive tackle Kaleb McGary is coming off his best season as a pro, but there is always room for improvement, and earlier today on The Morning Shift Mike Johnson, Beau Morgan, and Ali Mac explained how the Falcons’ right tackle taking the next step in his game will take the Falcons’ offense to another level.
“I know that he improved so much through the first three, four years of his career, it’s time to take another step. If he can become serviceable against elite pass rushers, the Jadeveon Clowneys, the...not even TJ Watt that’s not even fair, but I think this offense hits another level and can kind of make this stretch run.” Mike said
McGary obviously isn’t the only guy that needs to take that next step next season. Michael Penix Jr. has plenty to improve on, with Penix at the helm Zac Robinson should be able to expand his playbook and get more creative, Kyle Pitts is in a contract year so he needs to have his best season to date, and Ryan Neuzil needs to take his game to the next level as well because the Falcons lost Drew Dalman in free agency, and Raheem Morris and the Atlanta’s coaching staff will be looking to Neuzil to fill that starting center spot.
All that being said, if the former first round pick at right tackle can as Mike Johnson said “become serviceable against elite pass rushers” that will definitely take this Falcons’ offense and team to another level.
