A lot of expectations are being placed on the Atlanta Falcons offense, but for them to meet or exceed those, they're going to need all their stars to step up, stay healthy, and perform, and Shannon Sharpe, a Pro Football Hall of Fame Tight End, is looking at Kyle Pitts to be a significant part of that equation for Michael Penix Jr.
"It's hard to perform at an elite level when you're injured even the slightest nick can throw you off. He had such an outstanding rookie year, the bar was raised extremely high," says Shannon Sharpe. "He had to deal with a lot of different quarterbacks, he was dealing with injuries, we had him the other night, he seems at peace, he seems happy. He's in a contract year, so he knows he has a quarterback, he has a unique skillset, so I'm expecting a big year but only if he's healthy."
Pitts has been the early talk of Training Camp offensively, and he's been a main target of Michael Penix, but while it's okay to get excited about practice performance, he's still going to have to prove he can be a part of the offense you can count on by showing up in the regular season.
