There's no denying that Falcons fans are a largely petty bunch who love to hold a grudge, and with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick retiring, the lasting grudge of the horrible memory that was 28-3 now belongs to Kyle Shanahan. With that, it should come as no surprise that quite a number of Falcons fans enjoyed seeing the 49ers fall in overtime Sunday night.
While you can argue the 49ers loss to the Chiefs wasn't due to anything Kyle Shanahan specifically did, the Falcons fans rooting against him were happy with the result nonetheless. For a group of fans, they don't want to see Shanahan win one until after the Falcons have exercised their own demons and win their own Super Bowl.
Kyle Shanahan is now 0-3 in Super Bowls, including the only two overtime losses in Super Bowl history.
