The Atlanta Falcons have finished with 7 wins in back-to-back seasons under Arthur Smith and it seems like it's time for the franchise to take a real step forward, and Owner Arthur Blank is expecting precisely that.
Atlanta Falcons Digital Reporter Scott Bair agrees with Arthur Blank and lays out exactly why those expectations are both possible and realistic.
"He (Blank) told us that he was more optimistic than he had been in many years," says Bair. "He sees good foundations being laid, and I think he likes this method better. It's not all reliant on a quarterback, this new version of the Falcons wants to be able to run it down your throats even when the whole world knows that you're going to run."
"If you look at Arthur Smith, an old school rough and tumble offensive lineman, and Ryan Nielsen, an old school rough and tumble defensive lineman, those guys are the same dude on the opposite side of the ball," says Bair," and I think they're going to bring a new and different mentality that has Arthur Blank excited."
