While the Atlanta Falcons are mathematically still in position to reach the NFL playoffs this season, they have to do their part and start picking up wins, which must begin this Sunday when they take on the Carolina Panthers, who defeated them 30-0 in Week.
On Friday, 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell were joined by Carolina beat reporter, Sheena Quick, to preview Sunday’s NFC South showdown discuss challenges Falcons will face when they hit the field on Sunday.
“I think Derrick Brown is Derrick Brown. Derrick Brown has been embarrassing everybody,” Quick told Dukes and Bell as she explained the Falcons offensive line will have their hands full facing the Panthers defensive end, who will enter the game with 40 total tackles, 20 solo tackles and three sacks.
“He’s been tossing these the guys to the side like absolute ragdolls. I expect no different from him,” Quick added in regards to Brown, who finished with one tackle in the first meeting between the teams, however still had an impact as the Falcons offense struggled to extend plays against the Panthers.
“I expect this defense ready to come out ready to rumble,” Quick continued, noting Panthers’ cornerback, Jaycee Horn, will look to have a bounce back performance following the Carolina loss to the New Orleans Saints. “He’s trying to flush that Saints game. There were two big chunk plays that were on his side of the field, to him he feels like turned the tide of the game,” Quick Said.
