Jerod Mayo isn't wasting any time building his new coaching staff with the Patriots.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, New England has requested to interview Falcons special teams coordinator Marquice Williams for their vacant special teams coordinator role.

Williams has worked in the NFL since 2013, making stops with the Bears, Lions (2x), and the Chargers. He was hired as Detroit's assistant special teams coach under former Patriots coach Matt Patricia.
The Patriots' current special teams coaching unit consists of Cam Achord (coordinator) and Joe Houston (assistant). Joe Judge (assistant head coach) also helped out with the unit in 2023.

New England is also scheduled to interview Panthers OLBs coach Tem Lukabu for their vacant defensive coordinator position, and it was reported on Monday that Steve and Brian Belichick have been "offered an opportunity" to remain on staff under Mayo.
