After reports surfaced on Monday morning of both Steve and Brian Belichick being given the "opportunity" to remain with the Patriots, it appears that new head coach Jerod Mayo is looking outside of One Patriot Place as well to build out his new coaching staff.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Jerod Mayo is set to interview Tem Lukabu for the team's defensive coordinator position.
Lukabu, 42, is currently the Carolina Panthers' outside linebackers coach and also served as Boston College's defensive coordinator on Jeff Hafley's staff from 2020-2022.
