Pass-rush specialist Chuck Smith joined Dukes & Bell to talk about the NFL combine that started Tuesday and which interior defensive lineman he thinks the Falcons could have their eye in Indianapolis.

When asked about three guys that he’s looking at.

“What I know about Jalen Carter right now, you thought you saw the best of Jalen Carter but you know he’s a supercharged athlete. But the kid is in the best shape of his life. He’s shaved some weight off of him,” Smith said. “I’m interested to see how fast he runs. Now I know last year Devontae Wyatt, Jordan Davis blew it away coming out of the Georgia program that’s clearly elite with developing and all that part of it and athleticism. But I’m interested in Jalen and we know what Jalen’s gonna bring.”

Smith talked about Calijah Kancey who he thinks could have a big combine.

”I’m gonna tell you another one who I’m really interested in," Smith said. "Calijah Kancey from Pitt, they call him Coo. He’s an undersized three, probably around 280, but he’s a pass-rusher, he’s been one of the most dominant ones. And look, Pitt has put out some great pass-rushers over the years. A lot of people question can he handle it from a size standpoint, he’s one I’m watching.”

Chuck told us the third guy he’s watching at combine.

“And the other one who I think if he doesn’t get injured, Bryan Bresee from Clemson," Smith said. "If he doesn’t get hurt I believe that he would be in contention surefire to be a top five and would be regarded like Jalen Carter. Because remember before he hurt his knee he was as dominant as anyone in college football. Those are guys that I’m watching. I’m just interested to see some of the little details about these big names.”
