There is never a good time to lose back-to-back games in the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons, however, may have found the one time it could be beneficial to use a bye week to learn and grow from those losses. The beatdown by the Denver Broncos sent shockwaves across the NFL landscape and set the team down a drastically different path should they have won that contest.

The team now sits at 6-5 with a difficult home contest with a hot Chargers team headed to Atlanta. They still sit 4-1 in the NFC South but their image took a big hit with the loss to the Broncos. Coach Raheem Morris had the week to watch all the tape and prepare his game plan for not just Los Angeles but the rest of the remaining schedule as well.

Atlanta has been in control of the division for the entire season but one or two more losses could put them in a very uncomfortable position in the playoff standings. It will become clear instantly how the bye week went when the two teams take the field at 1:00 PM EST next Sunday.
