The Atlanta Falcons head coaching search continues and with Texans OC Bobbly Slowik visiting with the brain-trust today, you wonder what type of stipulations they might require to hire a first-time head coach.
With any coach, but even more-so with a first-time head coach, the staff they can assemble is important, especially on the side of the ball that isn't their specialty, but also other staff members to help with decision they maybe didn't have to make as a coordinator or a position coach.
"If you want to have him, even if he's not ready (to be a head coach), put the right guys around him," suggests Randy McMichael. We need you to call plays and if there's a decision, 4th down or whatever, we might have somebody in the booth."
"(Bobby) Slowik is interviewing for a 2nd time today with the Falcons, what's his network like," asks Andy Bunker. "They asked Arthur Smith his staff, he said Dean Pees, that's impressive. I don't know that Bobby Slowik has an ace up his sleeve quite like that."
