The Atlanta Hawks are going to look like a totally different team in the 2020-21 season. Principal owner Tony Ressler, who has made it very clear that he wants to get in the playoffs, has given general manager Travis Schlenk the green light to make the moves needed to meet that goal.
This roster is built to win right now. They have a great mixture of veterans and young, up-and-coming players to not only make the playoffs but make some noise when they get there. Kurt Helin, of NBCSports.com, joined The Jon Chuckery Show and made a very interesting comparison.
"This is just going to be an entertaining team to watch in the way that I used to find the Warriors," Helin said.
That is an interesting comparison because Schlenk was pulled from said organization that went on to win three NBA titles. So it's not too far-fetched to say that the Hawks are going to be a fun team to watch.
The one thing about those Warriors teams that always stood out was the chemistry that they had on the court. With so many additions to this Hawks roster, finding that chemistry in this shortened season will be the biggest task that they will have to overcome.
