Two games into the 2023-24 NBA regular season, the Atlanta Hawks (0-2) are still looking for their first win of the season and are headed to Milwaukee for a Sunday night matchup with perennial championship contender Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks are led on the court by a championship caliber duo in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian “Dame” Lillard, and the Hawks will counter with their duo of All Star backcourt guards Trae Young and Dejounte Murray.

Terrell Thomas, of These Urban Times joined Sam & Greg on Sunday morning to recap the beginning of the Hawks season, and although the Hawks have yet to win thus far, Terrell was very complimentary about what the Hawks backcourt should be able to become.

“A lot of NBA insiders look at this as maybe being a Top-3 backcourt in the NBA” emphasized Terrell when telling Sam& Greg what the Hawks could and should expect from their backcourt pair.

However, Terrell was honest when evaluating the struggles, the duo has had in the first two games of the season.

“The first two games have not been good for those two” explained Terrell when analyzing the two losses to Charlotte and the New York Knicks.

Lastly, Terrell, Sam & Greg all agreed that there would be no better time for the dynamic duo to get on a role, than with the challenge of the Bucks and the newly acquired All-NBA player in Dame.

“Tonight’s challenge against Dame Lillard won’t be easy, but what a better time than to get it going” was Terrell’s final thoughts.
