Rumors began to swirl on Wednesday that Zion Williamson could be on the trading block. Dukes & Bell welcomed NBA Hall-Of-Famer Shaq to the show and asked him if Zion could be an answer for the Hawks to take the next level in the playoffs. He shared his thoughts that if Zion commits to staying in shape and to the game overall, he could be a truly dangerous force in the league.

“I think he’s a great player and has great potential. Sometimes when you’re young you need to sit down and decide what you want to become. For example, as a young fella, I was always compared to the greats. When I decided I wanted it, that’s when I became great. Everyone knows my story, movies and music, I was not truly focused. I’m not going to talk about his personal stuff, because that would make me a hypocrite. Once he sits down, really gets in better shape and trains on basketball. Once he commits to basketball, the sky is the limit for him” Shaq explained.

Zion Williamson signed a 5 year / $194,300,000 contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, including $194,300,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $38,860,000. He also has missed significant time during his stint in the NBA, most recently only suiting up for 29 games last season.
