The Atlanta Hawks (6-3) continue to lead the NBA Southeast Division after returning home on Saturday night and knocking off Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans in OT, 124-121.
Next up for the Hawks, a battle with the undefeated Milwaukee Bucks (9-0) and former two time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo on Monday night at State Farm Arena, that will give the Hawks another chance to make an early season statement with a victory.
The Hawks returned home after a tough five game road trip that saw the Nate McMillan led squad win three games including an impressive come from behind victory over the now rival NY Knicks, 112-99.
When Terrell Thomas of These Urban Times joined Sam & Greg on Sunday morning to discuss the Hawks big wins and tough schedule coming up over the next week or so, he was quick to compliment what he has seen from the squad as of late.
“I am very proud of our Hawks right now, 6-3 and they have a very difficult week ahead of them” said Terrell when looking back at the Hawks start to the season.
Terrell continued to praise the Hawks by saying, “We watched Dejounte (Murray) go off and show everyone that he is an All-star also.”
When asked by Greg what he hoped to see from the Hawks going forward, Terrell had one comment about the Hawks rotation that he was hoping to learn about.
“I am continuing to see how the Hawks are gelling and when we solidify the rotation” expressed Terrell.
