ESPN NBA host Michael Wilbon joined Dukes & Bell to talk about the NBA playoffs and when the discussion of Trae versus Luka came up he talked about which one of the young stars he is more impressed with at this moment.
Wilbon talked about the Luka versus Trae debut.
“I don’t get into the Luka versus Trae deal, they’re both terrific players, if you asked me right now who I want to start with I mean that’s really close,” Wilbon said. “Doncic can do more things, but Doncic has an immaturity on the court that costs them, and that’s ok he’s 22, he’s 22. Trae seems to be moving beyond that, if I look at this and say who’s learning life’s lessons at a little quicker pace I might say Trae Young.”
“Even the entertainment stuff, he lets you know afterwards it was a wink, wink. Like the bow he told you the respect he had for playing in the Garden, and he understood, I think he’s closer to understanding that. Luke is arguing with officials while the play is going back to the other end, I don’t wanna see that but again these guys are babies, they’re gonna be stars for a long time.”
