The Atlanta Hawks edged the Dallas Mavericks, 132-130, in overtime on Sunday night in an exciting back-and-fourth affair. The Hawks continue to hover around .500, and head into Tuesday’s matchup with the Chicago Bulls at 39-39.
The Toronto Raptors are right on their heels with the same record, good for the eighth seed in the East. Dukes & Bell reacted to the much-needed win for the Hawks and this round of the endless Luka Doncic versus Trae Young saga.
“What a crazy ending to the Hawks game, it looked like they were going to lose. They get a call, and some were saying it was a makeup call,” Carl Dukes said, referring to the foul called on Kyrie Irving that sent Trae Young to the line to sink the game-winning free throws.
“Kyrie was a force unto himself," Mike Bell exclaimed. "It’s crazy to think how that team cannot harness their talent. He goes for 41 and other than missing some three pointers, he got everything he wanted. This was another game that was a microcosm of the Hawks' season.”
