Despite having lost three of their last four games, the Atlanta Hawks have overall been playing some of their best basketball, especially on the defensive end of the court. However, on Tuesday night, Atlanta had one of their best shooting performances of the season as they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 117-104.

“When you shoot fifty percent from three and over fifty-three percent from the floor, have a good chance of winning,” Beau Morgan said on Wednesday as he, Tiffany Blackmon and Mike Johnson share their thoughts on the Hawks win to snap their three-game losing streak.

And while the Hawks were led in scoring by Trae Young, who finished with 29 points and shot 4-7 from three, it was an unlikely performance off the bench from Garrison Mathews was commended by the morning show trio.

“When you’re coming off the bench and you get as many points as you get minutes then you’re kind of in the right zone,” Johnson said as he highlighted Garrison’s 25-point performance as he shot 7-8 from three in 26 minutes of action on Tuesday night. “He was incredible, he couldn’t miss and it was like every time you watched Garrison Mathews get the ball kicked out to him, you know that thing is going down,” Johnson added.
