Hopes were high for the Atlanta Hawks heading into the season as the team added Clint Capela, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Rajon Rondo, and Danillo Gallinari to a young core that already included Trae Young, John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Cam Reddish, and De'Andre Hunter.
The Hawks got off to a quick start even while dealing with some injuries. But as the injury bug continued to bite, and the schedule got tougher, it's become more and more difficult to get a read on this season for the Hawks.
What began with an injury that delayed the start of the career of No. 6 overall pick Onyeka Okongwu and backup PG Rajon Rondo eventually developed into a two-week stretch without Gallinari, a fracture in Bogdanovic's knee, and now a knee injury that has left the team without De'Andre Hunter for a two-month span.
Atlanta Hawks GM Travis Schlenk spoke to the number of games missed by key players and how difficult it is to grade the team right now.
"We haven't played one game this year where we've had the top nine guys available and in uniform," says Schlenk. "Hopefully we'll get the whole group out there, just gotta stay in the mix the next three or four weeks until we get some bodies back."

Despite all of the injuries to the team this season, the Hawks still sit near the top of the Southeast Division, currently in a virtual tie with Charlotte.
