Just how good the Hawks starters are when they all play

On Friday Andy & Randy broke down how good the Atlanta Hawks have been this season when they have all five of their starters healthy and playing together.

“The Hawks have played 20 games this year where they’ve had all 5 of their starters…They’ve played 45 games, so less than half of their games they’ve played with all 5 of their starters available. In the 20 games where they’ve had all 5 of those guys available they’re 13-7. That’s pretty good. That’s a .650 winning percentage. If they were winning at a .650 clip for the entire season they would be second in the Eastern Conference right now.” Andy said.

“I don’t think the Hawks are the second best team in the Eastern Conference, don’t get that twisted.  But I think they’re good enough to be one of the top 4 teams in the Eastern Conference, one of the top 5 teams in the Eastern Conference. And they’re healthy now so I’d like to see them start to show that consistently.” Andy added.

“My biggest thing is how much can we bank on them staying healthy all year?” Randy asked.

“I think when this team is whole they are one of the top 4, maybe top 5 teams in the East.” Randy said.

The Hawks host the New York Knicks tonight with tip-off set for 7:30pm and pregame coverage starting at 7pm on 92.9 The Game.

You can hear Andy & Randy Monday-Friday from 11a-2p on 92.9 The Game.
