Atlanta United manager Gabriel Heinze delivered some shocking news in his press conference on Thursday saying it was his decision as to why Josef Martinez is not training with the team.
Martinez has been absent from the team since returning from Copa America. Heinze said fitness or injury is also not a factor.
Heinze mentioned Martinez is training by himself. There is no date for his return to the main group, according to Heinze.
If you read between the lines, it doesn't appear Martinez will play on Saturday when the 5 Stripes take on New England Revolution at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
