Devin McCourty found the perfect way to announce he is returning to the New England Patriots in 2022.
The 34-year-old defensive back was set to hit free agency this offseason but on Sunday he posted a video of his children announcing that he plans to stay in New England for his 13th season with the team.
The video McCourty posted shows his son asking, “where are we going next year?” with his daughter excitedly responding, “Foxborough!”
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, McCourty is signing a one-year deal worth $9 million.
McCourty has been a mainstay in the Patriots defense since he was drafted by the team in 2010. He is a two-time Pro Bowler who has 31 career interceptions.
Last season, McCourty had three interceptions, 10 pass deflections, and 60 total tackles.
