In year's past, we've seen dynamic offenses win National Championships, but can Georgia flip the script and bring defense back to college football? Are we sure it’s not just dynamic, or historic, or whatever word you wanna use, UNITS that win national titles?
Now, this isn't to say that quarterback J.T. Daniels doesn't need to get healthy, or that UGA doesn't still need to find more big plays in the run game, that stuff still all matters. But it does feel more and more like this defense is the unit of the year in college football.
"I think it's still the offensive game in college that wins," Randy McMichael said. "Don't get me wrong, this defense is one of the best I've ever seen, but they still got to score. They have to average at least 40-points on offense."
"This defense has just been nasty and they have put on a show every weekend that they have had an opportunity to go out there and play. It won't be any different this weekend when they go up to Auburn."
