On Friday Andy and Randy were joined by Georgia Football Insider, Radi Nabulsi, who talked about the J.T. Daniels injury and who might start at Quarterback this Saturday versus The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Athens.
“From what I understand I think they (UGA coaching staff) are going to hold him (J.T.Daniels) out against UAB. You don’t really need him (Daniels) for this game and that’s not taking away anything from UAB…UAB has a great secondary, two good cornerbacks that are going to be tough to beat but I don’t know that you need him (Daniels) to win this game for you. So why not let him (Daniels) rest and get ready for South Carolina,” Nabulsi said when asked about what Georgia will do with J.T. Daniels this week.
McMichael then asked Nabulsi, “We shouldn’t be surprised if we see him (referring to Carson Beck) under Center on Saturday then?”
“You should not be surprised; his trainer (Carson Beck’s Trainer) has been telling everyone that he (Beck) is going to get the start…but I’m telling you guys I know Kirby Smart and I know he likes known quantities. He likes production he can count on and it would not surprise me if we saw Stetson Bennett under Center,” Nabulsi responded.
