What a year for Georgia football.
Fresh off their first national championship victory in 41 years over the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Bulldogs now have another spike to add to their collar. Edge rusher Travon Walker was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars first overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
This selection also moves the Bulldogs into rarified air as they are now one of only four college football programs with five No. 1 overall picks. Others include Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Southern California.
Walker is the first number one pick for the Bulldogs since 2009 when the Detroit Lions selected QB Matthew Stafford.
