Jon Chuckery declares 'Georgia is winning the national title again this year'

After Georgia's dominating win over Tennessee Jon Chuckery says "I've seen enough"

Georgia dominated what the College Football Playoff Committee called the number one team in the country this past Saturday in Athens to reclaim the number one spot that honestly should’ve always been theirs. After the Bulldogs’ 27-13 win over the Volunteers on Saturday Jon Chuckery declared that he’s seen enough, and knows that “Georgia is winning the National Title again this year.” Tuesday night on The Jon Chuckery Show.

Jon realizes that Georgia has had a couple of shaky performances this year, but after seeing the Dawgs dominate Tennessee Jon says “I don’t see this team losing to somebody, I just don’t.”

Wes Blankenship joined Jon Chuckery on his show Tuesday night, but was not ready to make that same proclamation about Georgia saying “It’s almost like they are a kitten that’s toying with a ball of yarn, and they get bored. They get bored when they’re not playing elite competition.” Wes also says “What if you have one of those off nights in the SEC Championship Game, or what if it happens in the College Football Playoff?” Wes finishes his thought by saying “Just the element of they’ve kind of toyed with teams and lived a little dangerously makes me a little skeptical still that they’re a shoe in.”

Jon responds to Wes by saying “There’s nothing about Georgia under Kirby Smart that tells me that one is they can’t out talent most teams, two is their not well coached, I mean their as well coached as anybody in the country.” Jon finishes his thought by saying “I just don’t see that if they line up against Ohio State, Michigan, even Alabama or Tennessee again, LSU, I just don’t think Georgia loses one of those kinds of games.”

Wes goes on to make a good point about Georgia already having to overcome being fed what Nick Saban calls “Rat Poison” once in the very beginning of the season after destroying Oregon in their season opener, and how they will now be faced with that same task again but younger guys on the team will know how to handle that in a much better fashion.

Georgia committed three turnovers against Kent State and won by three touchdowns, Stetson threw two interceptions against Florida and the Bulldogs won the game by 22 points, Missouri came the closest to beating Georgia this season, but couldn’t hold down the Dawgs in the fourth quarter. Jon Chuckery acknowledges all of that and says “Eventually the talent takes over.”

For Jon it’s about the intangibles too, and Jon says “When I look at the intangibles of what the Bulldogs are I just don’t see a team that lines up and goes out and beats them.” The talent, the coaching, the intangibles that’s why Jon Chuckery believes the Dawgs will win a second straight National Championship, and with the way the Georgia Bulldogs are looking right now it’s hard to argue with him.
