Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and CBS Sports Network analyst Aaron Murray joined the Midday Show to preview Saturday's match-up between No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 8 Florida Gators.
Georgia is coming off a slug-fest 14-3 win over Kentucky last weekend, where their run game and defense bailed them out. Murray said the offense this year is different than the past and Georgia needs to recognize that.
"Georgia does not have receivers," Murray told Andy and Randy. "Georgia does not have elite receivers, I'll say that. Georgia has good receivers. (Kearis) Jackson is good. (George) Pickens is good; he's not A.J. Green... and then (Jermaine) Burton has a chance to be good. They're good receivers, not elite receivers."
"So when you have an okay to good quarterback with okay to good receivers, you're going to have an average offense. That is who Georgia is this year."
"They need to get over that and just move on and understand that if they're going to win football games, it's going to be like it was this weekend versus Kentucky. You've got to run the football, dominate the clock, and it's not sexy, it's not exciting, it's not, maybe, memorable for Georgia fans but you can't be something that you're not."
"I just think, right now, they're just good to average...at most of their spots on offense. And, ya know, whatever, live with it. You've got an elite defense, and you're just going to have to ride those guys for this season."
