With SEC Media Days underway in Atlanta, Georgia, Tuesday featured speakers from the Texas Longhorns, Auburn Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Bulldogs, who was represented by head coach, Kirby Smart, Gunner Stockton and Daylen Everett.

And while there had been a lot of talk surrounding the fact Georgia would be bringing quarterback, Gunner Stockton, to speak despite not naming him the starting quarterback, Smart made headlines for sharing his thoughts on why it is important for him to recruit by building relationship and not having to rely on NIL being a major factor.

Well on Tuesday, Smart and the Bulldogs suffered two big recruiting losses as five star linebacker, Tyler Atkinson announced his commitment to Texas only to followed up hours later by defensive lineman, James Johnson, decommiting from Georgia and flipping to the Longhorns.

"You go up against Texas right? And Texas certainly planting a recruiting flag in Atlanta today," Mike Griffith of Dawg Nation, said on Tuesday as he joined 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and shared he thoughts on the news of Atkinson and Johnson committing to Texas, who he notes looks to make their mark in the SEC.

"You can't help but notice Texas' impact on the SEC and in college football. Resources is the name of the game and we know that programs like Texas, the Ohio State, have those finanacial resources at their disposal," Griffith added.
