On Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs learned they would be facing the Ole Miss Rebels in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoffs, marking the second time this season the SEC rivals will face off, with the Bulldogs getting the best of the Rebels, defeating them 43-35 back in October.

On Tuesday, 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell are joined by Dawg Nation’s Connor Riley to preview the New Year’s Day Sugar Bowl showdown and why the recent departure of Lane Kiffin and several members of the Ole Miss coaching staff, gives the Bulldogs a significant advantage in the rematch.

I have to think that in a tight game and a high pressure situation, that edge that Georgia has heading into it is really going to show up,” Riley said as he explained why he believes Kirby Smart and his staff will have an advantage due to Kiffin’s exit and the Ole Miss assistants partially focused on their new roles with LSU.

“I know Kirby [Smart] is not perfect, but there’s no one I think you would take in terms of game day management, even with some of the two minute stuff he does sometimes, over Kirby Smart and what he does,” Riley continued as he expressed concern over the uncertainty surrounding Ole Miss’ new head coach, Pete Golden.

“I think the coaching edge Georgia has in this is going to make a difference,” Riley added.
