The Jake Fromm era did not last long for the New York Giants.

Fromm got his first career start on Sunday on Philadelphia, but after a disastrous first half and first two drives of the second half, Mike Glennon relieved Fromm roughly halfway through the third quarter with the Giants down 13-3.
Fromm looked amazing running a two-minute drill against the Cowboys late in last week’s loss, but he was 6-for-17 for 25 yards and one interception, “good” for a 19.5 passer rating, and three rushes for 12 yards when he was benched.
The Giants had less than 100 yards of total offense in the first half, and Fromm was nearly responsible for three turnovers; he was sacked and fumbled on the team’s second drive, with Kadarius Toney able to recover, and he nearly threw an interception on a deep ball that was inexplicably dropped by Darius Slay.

In six first-half drives, the Giants had three three-and-outs, two more punts, and one drive that ended in a field goal. Fromm converted two third downs on that drive, and also led Big Blue to a decent drive that was helped by a defensive holding penalty at the end of the half, but come the second half, Fromm was intercepted on the Giants’ second play from scrimmage, and the team went three-and-out on their second drive before Glennon replaced Fromm.
Of course, things didn’t exactly go great on Glennon’s first drive, either – their first play was a penalty for illegal snap, and Glennon threw a six-yard pass to Kenny Golladay and two incompletions for the team’s fifth three-and-out of the day.
Philly, meanwhile, scored 17 points on their first three drives of the half, getting a Boston Scott TD run off the interception and two field goals
