The bye week for the number one ranked Georgia Bulldogs (7-0, 4-0 SEC) could not have come at a better time as Head Coach Kirby Smart and his staff start the process of game planning for what is arguably the toughest stretch of the Bulldogs schedule.

However, when the Bulldogs return to action next Saturday in Jacksonville, FL for the annual Georgia-Florida showdown, and in the weeks following against current ranked opponents Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee they will have to do so without All American tight end Brock Bowers for now.

Even with Bowers out for the foreseeable future, the Bulldogs will more than likely still be the betting favorites in each of their remaining five contests, and for now Chris Thomas still believes the Bulldogs are more than capable of running the table and finishing the regular season with a perfect record.

“Carson Beck seems to have found his rhythm, I know Brock Bowers isn’t there, but until I see it, I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt” said Chris when asked by producer Eric Slaughter if he still had the confidence that Georgia will still go undefeated in the 2023 regular season?

Chris also commented that, “Missouri could be a trip me up game” and that three game stretch that includes Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee in consecutive weekends will be a challenge, but he feels Georgia will find a way to get the job done.

Chris did leave himself with a little wiggle room by saying, “Check with me again in a couple of weeks!”
