On Wednesday University of Georgia Head Football Coach Kirby Smart joined Andy Bunker, Randy McMichael and Jon Chuckery at SEC Media Days and discussed several topics about the Bulldog football program including returning Quarterback Stetson Bennett.
“How was Stetson Bennett different now than when he was first on campus?” asked Andy.
“Man…He was confident when he was a little cocky-sucker when he was first on campus (laughter). He wasn’t afraid to say what he thought to make a play,” Coach Smart replied.
“I still remember the bowl game (Rose Bowl) where we were playing Oklahoma, he was the Baker Mayfield scout team quarterback. And man I used to be like this guy is running around making plays everywhere, he was like a little wizard. That’s where ‘The Mailman’ (Bennett) got his name,” Coach Smart added.
