The aftermath of a national title game is typically chaos. It's organized chaos, but there are many twists and turns. Sometimes wonderful moments happen outside the winning team basking in the glow of victory or getting an early start on planning for next season.

Sometimes family gets in the way, as Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart explained in his postgame press conference. Smart told a heart-warming tale about his 10-year-old son who came crying to his father as events were unfolding around the two-time national championship coach.

Smart admitted that his intial reaction was that his son was having a typical 10-year-old meltdown and potentially was even going to "ruin his moment."

"Why are you crying," Kirby asked his son.

'Stetson's leaving. Stetson's gone,' Kirby retold the account of his son realizing that quarterback Stetson Bennett's last game had just ended in a 65-7 rop of the TCU Horned Frogs.

Kirby's response: "He's 25 years old, he's gotta go. He's gotta leave."

There might not be tears, but Coach Smart's son might be just a little bit ahead of many Georgia fans who soon will realize that Bennett, who led UGA to two national titles, won't ever play another college football game.

Maybe there will be tears.
