On Tuesday morning Andy & Randy reacted to a handful of headlines and games after Week 7 of the NFL season including Matt Ryan being benched for the Indianapolis Colts and the lackluster offensive performances across the league this year. But then the conversation turned to how many teams genuinely have a shot to win the Super Bowl this year compared to how many teams could win the National Championship in college football this year.
Andy & Randy both agreed that the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs are the two front runners and favorites to win the Super Bowl but struggled to come up with more teams that have a legitimate shot.
“I don’t remember sitting here hallway through a season where we are at right now feeling like there is less teams that have a chance to win a Super Bowl than there are college football teams that have a chance to win a National Championship. Because I feel 2 or 3 NFL teams. Yesterday we talked about three or four college football teams. It’s not that much different but normally it’s five or six NFL teams you could talk yourself into. Right now I can’t really talk myself into anybody outside of the Chiefs, the Bills and the Eagles,” Andy stated.
“I can’t even talk myself into the Eagles. I think it’s a two horse race and they are both (Chiefs and Bills) in the same conference,” Randy replied to Andy.
“Can you get into 35-32 shootout with Jalen Hurts as your quarterback?” Randy added.
Yesterday Andy & Randy said they believe there are four teams that could legitimately win the National Championship in college football this year: Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee & Alabama with Michigan, TCU, Oregon and others on the outside looking in.
You can hear Andy & Randy Monday-Friday from 11a-2p.
